My Momma Says I'm Special

This post could have alternatively been called...."My Momma Sent Me in Front of the Whole School with Incredibly Bad Bed Head"....read on.......
Alex was 1 of the first 7 in all of the 1st grade to receive his math badge yesterday.(There are about 120 kids in first grade at his school.) He had to obtain a perfect score on 8 different 100 question timed math tests to secure his spot..He got to go up in front of the whole school during the morning assembly to accept his badge. He was so cute. I am such a proud Mama...too bad we didn't have a little more time that morning so I could fix (ahem, NOTICE) his "bed head" I tried to find a picture that would do justice to really how bad the bed head was, but unless you saw it in person----WOW! Poor guy...he, of course, didn't even notice....ahhhhh to be a first grader again! Great Job Alex!

Congratulations, Alex!!! WOW, that is some awesome talent!! Those timed math tests are no easy picnic! =) Way to go!!

Jonah has bed head EVERY morning, LOL. Unless he takes a shower w/ his Daddy in the am, that's how he goes to school everyday. Poor kid. Just has way too much hair for a toddler to have to deal with!

WAY TO GO!!!! That is so cool! I hate math! Was never any good at it. But I think it is important! So yay, Alex!!!!

That's a great award! I'm guilty of sending mine to school with bed head too! It' so neat that your four are 7,5,3,1...since mine are 8,5,3,1...pretty close to the same!

Let me tell you...we have horrible bed head around here. impossible to fix in the mornings no matter what so you are not alone!

Aaaahhhhh bed head. Yes, it was quite a problem at our house too, that's why we now take morning showers.

Boys just don't care about their hair...my son pitches a fit when I even try to wet down his bed head in the morning. Sometimes it just isn't worth the fight...so glad it is hat season soon. LOL

I didn't even notice the hair--I was too impressed with the OU shirt!! We are former Okies (well, former is the wrong word--we just don't get to live in Oklahoma right now....) and so are dazzled and thrilled to see Boomer Sooner fashion!!!

Blessings!

Stopping by - coming over from mckmama's and want you to know I will indeed pray for you. Sometimes it's very hard to accept that God has us exactly where and how he wants us. Peace to you - your family is beautiful and makes me miss my all-grown-up boys. Your family has truly been blessed by you.

Yes, congrats! That's quite an accomplishment!

The bed head thing doesn't leave until about 9th or 10th grade, so accept it for now. They will care what they look like soon enough!

That's the beauty of boys- they don't care about their hair! And, if my boys (ages 7, 5, and 3)notice their hair they end up trying to make it "crazy hair"!

I was just on McMama's site and saw your comment. I just had a third boy (born on Nov 6th, and I'm madly in love with him) but I have a deep desire for a little girl. And I've prayed the same prayer, that God would either give me a little girl or take the desire away. I love my sons dearly, don't get me wrong. I was just touched by your prayer request.

I found your blog through My Charming kids and saw you have 4 boys...it's so neat to finally find a mom of 4 boys all the same ages as mine! Your boys are adorable!
