Not Me Monday!

It's "Not Me Monday" again. Being Brutally honest and living to tell about it..Join in on the fun by visiting MckMama!

Wow what a week...let's see what I didn't do this week......

*I did not pray to God for one good solid poop for our two baby boys instead of the diarrhea they were experiencing, because I am STILL not pooped out from all the poop at our house....Why would I pray for that with all the other things to pray about like newborn baby Harper who is critically ill with an, as of yet, unknown very serious health issue, or baby Brayden who's lungs stopped developing at 36 weeks and is now fighting for his life in the NICU, or Little Abby who has a high risk and aggressive form of Leukemia and who is right now undergoing the therapy that could kill her.... She just had a conversation with her mommy where she asked, "Mommy, am I going to grow up and be big?" Heartbreaking.
....Why the heck would I ask God for such a silly thing as a solid piece of "doo doo" when there are so many more important things to pray for?

*And since I worked in some prayer requests why not work in something else?:
When Elaine over at the Miss-Elaine-ous Life tagged me for a meme, I didn't almost decide to ignore her because of what the meme asked......BUT if I had decided to do it..Here are the Rules:

1) Take a picture of yourself right NOW!
2) DON'T change your clothes; DON'T fix your hair... Just take a picture.
3) Post that picture with NO editing.
4) Post these instructions with your picture.

I mean, seriously, I was SOOO excited to take a picture of myself in my current state of beautifulness. Here is the picture I didn't take...you'll notice that I didn't try to cover up as much of my face as possible.....

*Not sure if you can tell in the picture, but I have a few freckles...and today Nick didn't tell me that I was "Too Old" to have freckles....thanks a lot kid.

*I did not walk through several "Open Houses" in our neighborhood last weekend just "to see"...nope why would I care about stuff like that? I love our house! I was not even a little bit upset that one of the houses had dropped in price by $70,000....Seriously?

*I do not think my neighbor is trying to torture her dogs....she hangs bird feeders right outside the fence line and squirrels hang upside down from said bird feeders....Their two labs just sit there and salivate and stare at the squirrels....Or maybe she is just trying to entertain baby Brian who stands at our back window and laughs hysterically at the dogs.

*I am not dreading the thought that I have to help Nick make a dinosaur from "things around the house" and turn it in this week for "Open House" at his school....He's 5, how the heck is he gonna make a dinosaur from cotton balls, toothpicks, and cheerios....and Plus, I'm still a little peeved at him for the "old" comment, So I'm not sure I want to help him anyway :)

...and Elaine...if you ever have to make a dinosaur from "things around the house"...I'm not helping you either.... :) tee hee....you know I'm joking right? I really do like you!

Not Me Monday..again!

Little Ms. MckMama has turned the tables on us this week and has asked all of her faithful followers and prayer warriors for our prayer requests...what an amazing lady...and what an incredible gift she is giving us...First she lets us witness and pray and be involved in her life and the birth of her miracle, and then she asks to pray for us and to allow others to see our prayer requests so that God can receive these prayers, as if she has NOTHING else to do than pray for all **1,751 of us when she has a new baby in the house! Thanks MckMama!

**(1751 is how many of us entered her Tiny Tuesday contest! All I can say is WOW MckMama's girls like us some free stuff!)...

OK, Now on to Not Me Monday...Being Brutally Honest and Living to Tell About It!

1. I did not utter one expletive at my husband when he called me on his way to the hospital after partially tearing his achilles tendon while playing basketball at church last night...nope not me....I would NEVER think about the fact that I already have 4 kids to take care of and I don't need a husband on crutches or undergoing surgery.....BECAUSE I am always supportive, especially in light of the fact he has taken care of me during my multiple injuries! :)

2. I did not laugh hysterically at my mom when she thought THIS PICTURE:


was an ACTUAL old picture of my husband and not one that I had "made" on YEARBOOK YOURSELF........ NOPE! I would never laugh at my mom...... silly lady!


My mom was not very relieved to know that prince charming never actually had hair like that and that he was never quite that big of a dork!....

My mom does not continually keep me laughing! Love ya mom!

3. I was not in a bad mood one day this week, and upon further evaluation of myself realize it was because I was mad at/thinking about a character from a movie I had watched the night before who had cheated on his wife....because that would just be sick and wrong...

4. I did not send my child to school to accept an award in front of the whole school with bedhead......oh oops I already admitted to that one!

5. I did not bribe my kids to help me with my 65 loads of laundry this week...because I soooo enjoy doing laundry, and upon learning how well these boys can fold laundry, I did not make it another one of their "jobs" to promote responsibility....cause folding laundry is my job...and what else would I have to do???

6. And since we are talking about laundry, I did not threaten a never ending timeout to my 3 year old if he changed his clothes ONE MORE TIME on Friday...yep cause he does not change his clothes at least 5 times a day...

7. I did not giggle with excitment when I FINALLY figured out how to link pictures and words to a website...because I have a doctorate and I was smart enough to figure that out weeks ago!

Not Me Monday!

Here we are again---it's Monday morning. I keep thinking I won't be able to come up with any more, "Not Me's", but ya know....I just keep on NOT doing/saying things that would qualify! HA!

Soooooo, No matter what anyone tells you............


*****I was extremely on top of the ball last week for Not Me Monday and was not too late to add my name to Mr. Linky on MckMama's blog, so this week I did not actually do Not Me Monday on Sunday morning as to not miss it again...

*****I have not changed a poopy diaper for the last 2691 days of my life, so when my husband asked if I smelled the baby and I said, "ummmm no I sure didn't"... I was not lying and I didn't feel the least bit happy about saying...you smelt it you change it!

*****I did not get out a calculator and do the math to make a point about how many actual days I have been changing diapers....because that would just be silly and time consuming!

*****After the 5 day fall break weekend with all four kids all day...plus my husband, on Tuesday morning I did not allow my middle two boys to mindlessly watch the "Bee Movie" three times in a row while I tried to recover my house...Nope because I would never let the TV be a babysitter...(even though I pay the cable company way more than I would an actual babysitter), nor would I let my house get in disarray!

*****I did not make taking the trash from the house to the outdoor trash can my oldest sons job because I hate doing it...I did it because it's a great chance to teach him responsibility.

*****I do not have a ton of laundry to put away from last week, because I did it last week! (this seems to not be becoming a trend??!!)
