Busy, busy with my basketball team!

I am really busy....and really tired....don't feel much like blogging during the few moments I get "alone." Kate is doing well...sleeping for longer periods of time and getting so much bigger! She is an incredibly happy baby...smiles all the time and does the most adorable excited squeal! The boys are in love with her and are all so helpful....Brian has gotten a little more difficult lately, but that is to be expected when you have been dethroned. Here are some pics of what we have been up to!

Checking In...

We are doing better at our house. Kate finished her antibiotic and started medicine for thrush the same day, but seems to be getting better. Nathan had the swine flu, but has recovered, and everyone else seems to be okay (for now). I'll post some pics in a couple of days....we are ever busy with football and baseball games, school and work....but surviving great on limited sleep...

Prayer Request!

Kate has a staph infection in her umblicial stump and they are treating her for MRSA (antibiotic resistant staph) with a strong oral antibiotic. Have to keep her upright for 30 minutes after she takes the medicine to "avoid" esophogeal erosion...poor little thing.... please pray for her health and that we all survive the next 10 days of antibiotics every 8 hours :)

I am being induced in the morning.....have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. I would love your prayers for an uneventful delivery and perfectly healthy baby girl! I'll update with some pictures a.s.a.p.!!!! I'm so excited to meet Kate!!!!

Not much to report! +first day of school pics

Not much to report from my doctor's appt. today....I am a little more effaced, dialated about the same, and she has dropped quite a bit-----which explains why my heartburn has subsided (for the most part!) Just playing the waiting game for now....12 days until the doctor will induce.......wishing all these braxton hicks would turn into something more exciting!

On another note, here are some pics from the first day of school....finally uploaded them after two weeks! It's not like me to wait that long, but I've got better things to do...like nesting and napping!! I always love photos with school buses in the background...such great color!

The good news is that she has "dropped"...but still 75% effaced and dialated between 1 and 2. I had lots and lots of contractions last night....strong enough to wake me up, but no consistency to them. I've got another appointment on Friday, so I'll update more then!

On another note, 3 of my 4 boys were in school today. The total time of overlap was about an hour and a half...but who's counting? :) All three are loving school (so far)....

I've never cried when I dropped anyone off at school before...(not sure what kind of mama that makes me)......and then I watched as my two big boys walked into school the other day.....VERY slyly holding hands....and I cried and cried and cried...they were so cute, and sweet, and so grown up!

One funny story...then I'm going to bed....

Went to Parent Orientation tonight for Alex (2nd grade)...and I was looking through some of the work he had done. I was flipping through a "book" he had made called "All About Me." The first page was pretty much a statement of the facts about him.... There were sentences and he had to fill in the blanks......This is what it said....

My full name is __Alexander David__.

But I like to be called _____Alex____.

I am ____8____ years old.

I have ____Brown____ hair.

and I have ____TWO___ eyes......HA HA HA! not brown or green eyes....TWO eyes.... it just hit my funny bone and I was totally cracking up.......I love that kid!

News from my Uterus

Had my first "check" yesterday at the doctor...I'm 75% effaced, dialated between a 1 and 2, but her head is still high (which is actually normal for me). I am crampy and miserable today, but no real contractions or anything....that's about all I've got to report from down there! :)
